Job summary

Mountain West Bank in Idaho is seeking a friendly Bank Teller to support daily cash handling and customer service at our Ponderay and Sandpoint locations. You will verify deposits, process withdrawals, balance drawers, and handle basic inquiries with a customer-first mindset.

The role offers full-time hours (37 per week), comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth within the branch network. Prior cash-handling or retail experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of prior customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent technology acuity & computer systems knowledge.
• Ability to efficiently use multiple computer programs and systems simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Receive checking and savings deposits, verify cash, and issue receipts.
• Examine checks and determine funds availability per regulations and hold notices.
• Process savings withdrawals and cash checks with proper identifications.
• Identify counterfeit currency and address basic customer inquiries regarding rates and fees.
• Cross-sell bank products and services and refer complex issues to the proper department.
• Balance drawer daily and maintain currency logs.
