Dollar General in the United States seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-first store and supervise staff under the Store Manager. You will assist with merchandising, deposits, and daily operations to maximize profitability and reduce losses.

The role includes stocking, cashiering, scheduling, and training, with emphasis on planograms and cash controls. Prior retail supervisory experience is preferred and reliability is essential for opening/closing duties.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, safety meetings, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise in line with company processes: receive, stock, restock, and build displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms and merchandise presentation per Store Manager directives.
• Support store financial integrity with cashier accountability, deposits, and cash handling procedures; sign for refunds/overrides and count tills.
• Assist with store management in Store Manager's absence.
