Responsibilities include helping customers, stocking and labeling department merchandise, and keeping shelves current with ads and promotions. The role requires strong communication and basic math skills, with retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through service and answering questions about products.
• Assist the department manager to reach sales and profit goals and monitor quality standards.
• Promote trust, respect and a welcoming environment for customers and associates.
• Stock, label and inventory department merchandise; ensure fresh products and proper dates.
• Inform customers about grocery specials and respond to product questions.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager and safety concerns to store management.
• Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperature logs and safety procedures.
• Support preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate manager.
