Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Retail Associate to ensure customers have a positive shopping experience. You will greet Customers, help with merchandise, and operate registers in a courteous and friendly manner, while keeping the store neat and merchandise well presented.

You will follow safety rules, maintain a clean work area, assist with restocking, and support store leadership to protect assets. This role requires strong communication and teamwork on a fast-paced retail floor.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe shopping environment by following safety practices and keeping aisles clear.
• Greets customers and assists with merchandise; is register-trained and answers questions politely.
• Handles customer issues courteously and escalates to Store Leadership when needed.
• Maintains professional appearance and adheres to dress code; keeps store clean and merchandise organized.
• Represents Ross Stores and safeguards cash, cards, and merchandise.
