Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Moore, OK to help run a clean, customer-first store. You will assist with supervising staff, merchandising, deposits, and paperwork while ensuring profitability and loss prevention.

The role includes stocking, cashiering, and leading operations when the Store Manager is away. The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and experience in retail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform cash handling and basic math with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Assist in inventory accuracy via damages, markdowns, scanning and paperwork.
• Support planograms implementation and image presentation as directed by Store Manager.
• Support financial integrity through cashier accountability, deposits, and refunds/overrides.
• Assist in managing store in Store Manager's absence.
