Job summary

Surplus City in LaVale, MD is seeking a full-time Retail Store Associate to assist customers and support store operations. You will greet customers, handle transactions, restock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in a busy retail setting.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and problem-solving skills, retail experience, and the ability to learn the store's POS system quickly. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Successful completion of job training period.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the location.
• Answer customer questions, respond to requests and resolve issues.
• Complete accurate and efficient register transactions.
• Perform inventory duties such as unloading, scanning and stocking products.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
