Job summary

The Aubuchon Company is a leading family-owned retailer with a strong community presence. We are seeking a Sales Associate to help customers with home improvement projects and deliver the Aubuchon Difference in every interaction.

You’ll provide world-class customer service, greet customers, understand needs, guide them to solutions, and promote loyalty programs while maintaining store standards and accuracy in transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail or hardware experience desirable.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach.
• Ability to operate tools and machinery, including key-cutting machines and forklifts.
• Willingness to obtain forklift and propane certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer service and assist shoppers in-store.
• Greet customers, understand needs, and guide them to solutions.
• Recommend products and complementary items for projects.
• Use Theatro to stay connected with the team.
• Process sales and returns using the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs.
• Fulfill online orders for in-store or curbside pickup.
• Develop expertise in assigned departments and assist customers.
• Assist with hands-on services (propane, key cutting, glass cutting, etc.).
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
