Job summary

El Super is hiring a Checker (#51 San Diego) to join the Store Operations Team under direct supervision. Starting rate is $17.75 per hour. The role focuses on fast, accurate checkouts, customer service, and maintaining store standards at 4421 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92105.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service per company standards.
• Process sales quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Perform cash register operations.
• Safeguard company assets.
• Bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods as needed.
