Job summary

SpartanNash, a leading food solutions company, is hiring a back room and sales floor associate at our Holland, Michigan location. The role involves stocking, merchandising, and ensuring guest experience while adhering to safety and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include receiving merchandise, maintaining organized departments, and assisting management with product orders. Previous retail experience preferred, and the role may involve tasks in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
• Properly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays on sales floor.
• Notify the manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Have familiarity with all products carried in the departments and know the product locations in the store.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well stocked departments.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
