Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a part-time Cashier/Checker to warmly greet customers, operate the checkout lanes, and provide accurate transactions at the point of sale. You will handle various tenders, follow store policies, and support promotions while maintaining a welcoming store environment.

The role requires strong communication, basic math skills, and a commitment to honesty and safety. Training is provided, with opportunities to support customers of all ages across the store.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them at the checkouts.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately at the POS.
• Handle tenders including cash, checks, and card payments per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention rules.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and communicate with the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay informed about ads, promotions, and coupons.
• Follow food safety and safety procedures in-store.
• Provide helpful service and respond to customer questions.
• Perform duties with honesty and integrity.
