Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets and assists customers
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Handle POS system and multiple tender types per policy
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention rules
• Comply with guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Stay updated with ads and promotions
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs
• Provide friendly service and answer questions about products and store-wide services
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally
• Maintain honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
• Assist minors, special needs individuals, and older adults as needed
• Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
