Job summary

Brookshire Brothers in Hudson is seeking a cashier to assist customers and process transactions at the register. The position emphasizes friendly, efficient service, accurate cash handling, and following store policies.

Employees will be trained by the store; lifting up to 50 pounds and other physical requirements are part of the role. Candidates should be prepared to work additional shifts as needed and perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Display outstanding customer service skills by greeting customers, and providing friendly, courteous service at all times.
• Be professional in appearance and demeanor.
• Perform all shift duties assigned by management.
• Work well with others and follow instructions of shift leaders, managers and all other authority.

Responsibilities

• Display outstanding customer service skills by greeting customers, and providing friendly, courteous service at all times.
• Be professional in appearance and demeanor.
• Perform all shift duties assigned by management.
• Work well with others and follow instructions of shift leaders, managers and all other authority.
• Follow the company’s policies and procedures with relation to alcohol and tobacco sales, as well as cash handling, and all other policies and procedures for the company and/or store.
• Scan each item from a customer’s shopping cart on an electronic scanner and place the items on a conveying belt to be bagged.
• Be willing and able to work additional shifts other than what is posted on weekly schedule.
• Be willing and able to perform other duties as assigned such as general cleaning, custodial duties, and other activities as directed by management.
