GreenMark Equipment in Knox, IN is seeking a Service Writer to support the service department. You will handle customer inquiries, help prepare quotes, and open work orders to keep technicians busy.

A background in a dealership or service shop, basic accounting and computer skills are preferred. The role offers benefits such as health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a service department.
• Experience with basic accounting practices.
• Experience with basic computer functions.
• Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
• Experience communicating effectively.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
• Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.
• Maintains service department filings and records with current information.
• Updates customer profiles using equipment hours or other information from the customer work order.
• Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders.
• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
