Potbelly Sandwich Shop is hiring friendly associates to join a fast-paced, customer-first environment in Springfield, VA. Earn between 13.75 and 14.25 USD per hour plus digital tips, with comprehensive benefits and a flexible schedule.

As a Potbelly Associate, you will deliver fast, friendly service, prepare quality items, and maintain a clean, inviting space. Applicants should be at least 16 years old and ready to thrive in a team setting with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 16 years of age.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable in a bustling kitchen; knife skills a plus.
• Ability to manage allergens: peanuts, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
• You're a team player; able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.) efficiently.
• If 18 or older, use of the automatic slicer to prep food items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register: handle, balance and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
• Takes delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned
