Job summary

Magna International in Michigan is seeking a Quality Technician to support TS16949 and ISO14001 compliant processes. You will ensure proper handling and documentation of materials, participate in APQP and PPAP activities, and work closely with Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a solid background in quality tools and statistical methods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• College-level courses in quality/statistical sciences
• Combination of job experience and education equivalent to four-year degree

Responsibilities

• Handle, store, pack, preserve and deliver material and paperwork per TS16949 & ISO14001 documentation and authority to initiate action to prevent non-conformance
• Develop familiarization with Quality and Environmental Management Systems
• Problem-solve using statistical techniques (probability, capability, etc.)
• Interface with customer Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing representatives
• Work with internal Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams
• Audit systems for compliance and Continuous Improvement opportunities
• Seek process improvement and cost reduction opportunities
• Participate in APQP and PPAP activities
• Review control plans and documentation with production, updating where applicable
• Assist with training on Quality Systems including SPC
• Field questions on SPC and customer quality concerns
• Housekeeping and other duties as assigned
