Job summary

OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team is seeking customer-focused software engineers to build custom software using OpenAI APIs for real-world problems. You will design abstractions, scale delivery across engagements, and work with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience.
• Customer-facing experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL).
• Bias for action and willingness to iterate with customers to deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

• Embed with strategic customers to understand business challenges and requirements.
• Design, architect and develop full-stack solutions using an experiment-driven approach.
• Prepare scopes of work and project plans for prototypes and deployments.
• Collaborate with customers' technical teams as a trusted advisor and coding partner.
• Coordinate with Product, Research and Applied teams for feedback and success.
