Job summary

Restate is hiring its first Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customer engineering leaders, helping deploy and operate durable execution at scale. You will translate customer needs into production-grade distributed systems, write code more than slides, and shape how Restate is adopted across multiple industries.

You’ll collaborate with customers to design architectures, build integrations, and drive production deployments, while influencing product direction and the engineering

Qualifications

• Building or operating distributed systems
• Professional experience with Go or Rust
• Experience with TypeScript, Java, or Python
• Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Production operations, observability, and networking
• Modern backend architecture and distributed systems design

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluations and proof-of-concepts with customers
• Design production architectures with customer engineering teams
• Build integrations, reference implementations, and sample applications
• Guide customers from successful evaluation through production deployment
