Job summary

Dialpad is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with customers, translating AI opportunities into live, production deployments. You will design, implement, and optimize AI agent solutions that operate in real environments, working closely with customer stakeholders, delivery teams, and product partners.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, customer outcomes, and strategic collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

Experience in high-impact, customer-facing technical roles such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or AI-focused SaaS implementation.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into technical delivery scope and plan.
Collaborate with customer teams to map workflows, approvals, and escalation rules.
Design and build customer-specific AI agent solutions, including orchestration and retrieval flows.
Implement integrations with customer data sources, APIs, SaaS platforms, CRMs, ERPs.
Develop evaluation methods, guardrails, and acceptance criteria for production readiness.
Conduct iterative testing, failure analysis, and performance tuning for reliability and cost.
Prepare production-ready deployments with access controls, observability, and rollout sequencing.
Lead go-live activities and first-shift stabilization with rapid issue resolution.
Document reusable patterns and runbooks to support scale and repeatability.
Feedback learnings to Product and Engineering for faster future deployments.
