Job summary

Essential Utilities, Inc. is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Western Pennsylvania. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service, resolving billing inquiries, and supporting credit activities while ensuring compliance with PUC guidelines.

You will work within established policies to create positive customer experiences. Starting pay is $20.81 per hour with potential growth to $24+ per hour within 18 months, plus comprehensive benefits starting on Day 1.

Qualifications

• Excellent PC skills including mouse navigation and office software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and, when required, make outbound calls.
• Respond to and resolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints via calls and correspondence.
• Provide prompt, accurate service and navigate complex computer systems.
• Identify, review and resolve complex billing issues including errors.
• Enter customer meter reads using SAP to document issues and actions.
