Job summary

Dollar General in Raleigh, NC seeks a Team Member to be the first point of contact for customers, stocking merchandise, operating the register, and keeping the store clean and safe for shoppers. You will follow merchandising guidelines and assist customers across checkout lanes in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret basic store procedures and safety rules.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills for register transactions.
• Ability to operate cash registers and scanners.
• Ability to stock and display merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations.
• Operate cash register(s) and scanner to total purchases and handle payments.
• Stock and rotate merchandise to maintain appealing displays.
• Keep store clean, safe and organized for customers.
• Assist customers at self-checkout and at multiple registers.
• Follow SOPs and company policies as outlined in manuals.
• Support in seasonal displays and merchandise recovery to reduce clutter.
