Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Lowell, Arkansas, invites you to join the Customer Experience Intern program for Summer 2027.

Working under close supervision, you will gain hands-on experience delivering an exceptional customer experience within a transportation context. You will learn operations, shipment tracking, and order management tooling, while supporting internal teams to improve communication and service quality.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited community college, college or university.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer.
• GED and High School diplomas are required.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry.
• Work with a managed client base to continuously improve shipment operations, such as automated tracking, online booking/shipment management, communication on accessorials, and offering solutions based on shipping patterns and needs.
• Build an understanding of operational considerations (capacity, seasonality, pricing, etc.), key performance indicators, and customer needs that influence freight movement, growth opportunities, and customer interactions.
• Observe and practice account management strategies through understanding J.B. Hunt service offerings, market impacts, and scorecards to be able to identify correlated solutions J.B. Hunt can provide.
• Learn about the technology and tools J.B. Hunt leverages to streamline workflows and enable customer access to order management
