The Container Store in Yonkers, NY is seeking a Retail Employee / Project Specialist to ensure an amazing customer experience in-store and for curbside orders.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, recommending storage solutions, designing custom closets, handling checkout, and maintaining a tidy, well-stocked store. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Retail sales experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills are desirable.
• Enjoys engaging with people and connecting with customers.
• Flexibility in scheduling is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and greets customers at the front entrance or throughout the store.
• Connects with customers and suggests storage and organization solutions.
• Designs and sells custom closets and storage solutions.
• Operates the register with a focus on a great customer experience.
• Enrolls customers in the rewards program.
• Handles merchandise processing during early morning or evening shifts.
• Maintains the sales floor and keeps shelves stocked per brand standards.
• Assists with curbside pickup and/or delivery.
• Keeps the stockroom organized to support selling efforts.
• Performs tasks with accuracy and timeliness while maintaining pace.
