Job summary

Kroger in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a friendly, customer-focused associate to greet customers, engage with shoppers, and assist at the check lane. You will process transactions quickly and accurately, understand the POS system, handle cash, checks, credit and debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons and loyalty offers according to policy, and help maintain a safe store environment.

This role requires honesty, integrity and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle various tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Provide product questions answered and maintain store cleanliness and safety.
