Job summary

Weis Markets in Allentown is seeking a Customer Experience Associate who greets customers, answers questions and helps resolve concerns in a polite, professional manner at checkout.

You will operate the front-end scanner and cash register, bag merchandise, ensure accurate charges, and follow store policies for tobacco and alcohol. Maintain cleanliness, PPE, and be ready to assist other departments.

No prior experience is required; education of a High School Diploma or GED is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED. No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
• Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register; bagging and placing merchandise in the cart with accuracy.
• Maintains accurate transactions, handles cash, checks, electronic payments and coupons; follows PPE and cash drawer procedures.
• Follows store guidelines for tobacco and alcohol sale; maintains knowledge of weekly ads and store layout.
• Maintains department cleanliness and adheres to health/OSHA requirements; disposes of trash properly.
• Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors; willing to assist other departments and improve performance.
