Job summary

Kroger on 921 W Holmes Rd, Lansing, MI is hiring for a Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer service and manage the checkout process with accuracy and speed.

You will greet customers, ring up purchases, handle payments and adhere to store policies while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus, and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle various tender types according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
