Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and other tenders.
• Follow company policy on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to food safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Assist customers with questions about products and store services.
