Job summary

GetHired, Inc. is seeking a diligent and friendly cashier to support daily store operations in a convenience store/gas station setting. You will handle POS transactions, assist customers at the register and at pumps, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment.

Responsibilities include scanning items, processing payments, issuing receipts, handling returns, and ensuring loyalty and coupon programs are applied correctly. Prior cashier experience is helpful for onboarding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or helpful.
• Prior cashier experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and POS equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Scan and bag items quickly and accurately.
• Receive payments by cash, credit/debit cards, or gift cards.
• Issue change, refunds, or credits with receipts.
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges per store policies.
• Redeem coupons and loyalty programs as applicable.
• Count cash in drawer at start and end of shift.
• Reconcile shift receipts with cash sales.
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
• Assist customers at the pumps and inside the store.
• Report problems promptly to management.
• Maintain clean store and equipment daily.
• Stock walk-in cooler and racks as assigned.
• Attend store meetings and trainings.
