Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is seeking a friendly Convenience Store Cashier to provide fast, accurate service and handle sales transactions at the checkout. This role supports daily store operations and ensures a positive customer experience in a busy retail environment.

You will greet customers, operate the POS system, make change, stock shelves, maintain cleanliness, monitor inventory, and follow policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior cashier or customer service experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously
• Operate the POS system accurately for cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Handle cash responsibly, including making change and balancing the cash drawer
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, and work areas

• Follow all store policies, safety procedures, and loss-prevention guidelines
• Verify age requirements for tobacco, alcohol, or lottery sales (where applicable)
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
