Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring at our Prescott, AZ store for a Cashier/Checker. You will greet customers, assist with transactions, and maintain a clean, safe environment while delivering friendly service.

You will handle POS transactions, process payments, adhere to policies on restricted items, and stay informed about promotions and ads. This role requires teamwork, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Experience as a cashier or courtesy clerk is helpful.
• Ability to greet and assist customers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, engage and assist at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, and other tenders per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay updated on promotions and ads.
• Maintain safe, clean store environment and safety practices.
• Assist with customers and team in a cooperative, respectful manner.
