Job summary

Kroger is seeking a details-oriented Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer experiences at 309 W Main St, Odon, IN. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and operate the POS system while following store policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy, managing various tenders, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is a plus; flexible scheduling may be available.

Responsibilities

• Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits, loss prevention, and restricted item guidelines.
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Maintain food safety standards and participate in safety programs.
