Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Cashier/Checker to provide outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will greet customers, process transactions, and operate the POS system while handling various tender types and coupons.

Adherence to store policies and safety procedures is essential. Minimum qualifications include basic math skills and previous experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Follow loss prevention guidelines and adhere to sale restrictions (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Maintain food safety and safety programs; inspect equipment and report issues.
