Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the checkout area.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the POS system and process tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow rules for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow store policies on stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay informed about current ads and promotions and maintain food safety guidelines.
• Support safety programs and identify unsafe conditions, reporting to management.
• Inspect equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Provide friendly assistance to customers and answer product questions.
