Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, credit, debit, etc.).
• Follow cash-handling guidelines and protect against loss.
• Adhere to restrictions on alcohol, tobacco, and other prohibited items.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Maintain awareness of ads, promotions and store cleanliness.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Provide friendly product information to customers.
