Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to greet customers, bag groceries at checkout, and help keep aisles neat.

You'll work in a fast-paced store, follow safety and food-safety guidelines, assist customers with loading bags, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience. Flexible part-time scheduling and wide benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive bagging tasks.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Bag items using reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist in moving merchandise from bascarts to checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and price checks for cashiers.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
• Collect bascarts and keep store and parking areas clean.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and inspect equipment.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
• Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Maintain composure in a high-paced environment and resolve conflicts calmly.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
