The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to support checkout operations and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will bag groceries, help customers load bags into their cars, and keep shelves and aisles orderly.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive for at least five items in the bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various bag types (reusable/plastic/paper).
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and in the parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report any needed repairs to the appropriate department or store manager.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
