Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Matthews, NC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and help maintain store cleanliness and safety.

You must be able to lift 30–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and communicate clearly with customers and team members. Prior retail or service experience is preferred and you will join a team committed to friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions on assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
