Job summary

Dollar Tree in Penfield, NY is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and safe.

This part-time role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, and the position offers opportunities to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
