Job summary

Family Dollar in Gooding, Idaho is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, ring up transactions, maintain a safe and clean store, and support replenishment and unloading duties.

This role requires strong customer service, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and good teamwork with store leaders. You will engage with customers daily and contribute to a positive store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, and floors, and take out the trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
