Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Customer Experience Associate is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  1. Greet customers with a smile, answer questions, and help resolve concerns promptly, politely, and professionally. Follow company policies related to checkout to enhance customer satisfaction.
  2. Operate front end scanning equipment and cash register. Handle checkout procedures efficiently, including bagging merchandise and placing items in customers' carts.
  3. Ensure transaction accuracy, charging customers correctly for all items and collecting appropriate funds, including cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons. Follow security procedures and proper cash drawer management to prevent overages or shortages. Comply with legal guidelines for selling tobacco and alcohol.
  4. Stay informed about weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers effectively.
  5. Maintain cleanliness in the department by following cleaning schedules and guidelines, ensuring work areas, equipment, counters, and display cases meet health and OSHA standards. Properly dispose of trash.
  6. Support smooth department and store operations by cooperating with coworkers and supervisors. Strive to improve job performance continuously.
  7. Use all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
  8. Assist in other departments as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To succeed in this role, the associate must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily, with or without accommodations. The requirements include:

  • Completion of high school or GED, or working towards it. No prior experience necessary.
