Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Customer Experience Associate is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other assigned tasks:

1. Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and help resolve concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner. Follow company policies regarding customer checkout to increase satisfaction.
2. Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash register. Perform checkout procedures, including bagging merchandise efficiently and placing items in the customer's cart.
3. Maintain transaction accuracy, ensuring proper charges and collection of funds via cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons. Follow security measures and cash handling procedures, avoiding overages or shortages. Comply with store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
4. Stay knowledgeable about weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers effectively.
5. Maintain cleanliness of the department by following cleaning schedules and guidelines, ensuring work areas, equipment, counters, and display cases meet health and OSHA standards. Properly dispose of trash.
6. Ensure smooth department and store operations by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors. Aim for continuous job performance improvement.
7. Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and sponsored footwear.
8. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

• High school diploma or GED, or currently working towards one. No prior experience required.
