Job summary

Hex is hiring a Customer Engineer to work with customers post-sale, guiding them through initial setup, asset development, and technical questions. You will translate customer insights into product feedback and collaborate with Account Executives, Product Experts, and EPD teams to drive adoption and long-term success.

You will be hands-on with strategic customers, teaching best practices, advising on data curation for Hex AI, and helping shape the product roadmap.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical customer-facing role (Sales/Customer Engineering, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Management).
• Fluency with SQL and Python; comfortable with data tooling ecosystems.
• Familiarity with BI tools, cloud data warehouses, and semantic layers.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through initial product setup, asset development and technical questions.
• Work hands-on with strategic customers to build confidence in Hex for data workloads.
• Teach best practices and data curation strategies to enable Hex AI and product adoption.
• Experiment with onboarding and training programs tied to Hex product updates.
• Build relationships with customer stakeholders to gather feedback and influence the product roadmap.
• Identify patterns in your book of business to inform product experiences.
