Job summary

Hex is hiring a Customer Engineer to join our Customer Engineering team. You will onboard customers, develop assets, answer technical questions, and guide data strategies that enable Hex AI while driving product adoption and expansion revenue.

Based in SF in a hybrid setup, you’ll work with Account Executives, Product Experts and EPD to translate customer feedback into actionable insights for the product roadmap. Strong SQL and Python skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical customer-facing role (Sales/Customer Engineering, Solutions Architect, or Technical Account Management).
• Fluent in SQL and Python.
• Familiar with data tooling ecosystem (traditional BI, cloud data warehouses, semantic layers).

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through initial product setup and asset development.
• Advise on data curation strategies to enable Hex AI.
• Drive product adoption with core data personas and provide feedback to product teams.
• Translate customer insights into actionable inputs for product roadmap.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Product Experts and EPD teams.
