Job summary

Ryerson is a leading provider of industrial metal products and services, seeking a Customer Engagement Specialist in Phoenix, AZ. You will ensure accurate order processing and build a steady customer base through proactive, in-person sales calls.

Responsibilities include planning territory approaches, inventory management for customer-specific material, coordinating with operations, and negotiating product terms. Travel is mostly local with occasional overnights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of sales or industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of product offerings and markets served.
• Proficient in MS Office; basic ERP systems knowledge.
• Travel mostly local during business day; some overnight travel may be required with advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Plans territory/account approach and manages own resources.
• Assists in training new team members.
• Assists in creating account development plans.
• Performs inventory management for customer-specific material.
• Communicates with operations team and may represent production meetings.
• Occasional face-to-face customer interaction and negotiates terms.
• All other duties as assigned; duties may change at any time.
