KLA, a leader in semiconductor technology, is seeking an Applications Engineer in the SPTS division. The role focuses on delivering and tuning process solutions for customers, with primary activity in Southern California and travel up to 60% as needed.

You will install and optimize customer-specific processes on new and used systems, aligning with stringent specifications. The position requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in a relevant field, 3+ years in semiconductors, and experience in reporting,

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or engineering field.
• 3+ years of hands-on semiconductor industry experience (process engineering).
• Experience with report writing and progress presentations using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, demonstrate, and implement process solutions meeting customer requirements, primary location in Southern California.
• Install customer-specific processes on new and used systems, ensuring adherence to process specs.
• Improve procedures and processes to deliver high-quality equipment and exceed customer expectations.
• On-site participation for process installation, development, and update meetings; remote support as needed.
• Collaborate with internal SPTS hardware and factory teams to ensure proper tool/software and timely issue reporting.
• Collaborate with sales on new applications or potential tool sales.
• Present on-site project results to executives; provide proactive, future-ready solutions.
• Compile data analyses; develop familiarity with process modules and endpoints.
