Job summary

KLA, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing solutions, seeks a Customer Engagement Applications Engineer in Boise, USA. You will support development and deployment of products in customer facilities, present product capabilities, and assist sales with technical assessments while training customers.

Ideal candidates have advanced degrees in physics/engineering or related fields, strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical applications support for development and implementation of KLA products in customer fabrication facilities.
• Make presentations on all aspects of products.
• Assist sales in assessing application of company products to meet customer technical requirements and prepare detailed specifications.
• Provide follow-up training and disseminate technical information to customers.
• Handle complex problems with in-depth evaluation, design of experiments, and communication between customers and specialists.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA products in customer fabrication facilities

Makes presentations on all aspects of products

Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer technical requirements and preparing detailed product specifications

Provides follow-up support in training customers and disseminating technical information on specific applications

Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation, design of experiments, and communication between customers and specialists

Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results

Preferred Qualifications

MS / Ph.D. preferred in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Optics, Material Science or a related field.

Candidate should have experience in the semiconductor fabrication industry, or equivalent experience and education

Candidate must be well organized and professional with strong project management skills - including the ability to manage numerous projects at once

Candidate shows persistence and dedication to understanding and solving critical customer problems

Candidate will have strong analytical problem solving skills

Teamwork is critical so having a good balance between technical skills and people skills is a must.

Experience with Data analysis tools (Excel, JMP or equivalent)

Semiconductor device application and characterization

Photolithography and Overlay (IBO, DBO, SEM -OVL)

Familiar with cleanroom protocols.

Base Pay Range: $83,100.00 - $141,300.00 Annually
