Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a retail associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist in maintaining plan-o-grams, and stock merchandise to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, building displays, stocking shelves, and assisting customers. You will operate a cash register, handle payments, and maintain store cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• Basic math and cash handling knowledge.
• Familiarity with IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Care for cleanliness: bail cardboard, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockrooms.
• Greet customers and comply with company policies.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases.
