Job summary

Daiso USA in Shawnee, KS is seeking a Store Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service, support store sales, maintain merchandise presentation, and process transactions in a fast-paced environment.

When assigned to Lead Shift, you assist with opening/closing, task coordination, and team support, while maintaining loss prevention practices and ensuring a welcoming store atmosphere for every customer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• 0-2 years of relevant retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred.
• Prior retail sales experience, sales associate experience, or similar customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting opening/closing, task coordination, training, or shift support is a plus for Lead Shift assignments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer customer questions about products, promotions, discounts, and special offers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend products or solutions to support the shopping experience.
• Upsell through appropriate product recommendations and stay aware of new products and promotions.
• Promptly resolve customer concerns and escalate to leadership when necessary.
• Organize merchandise on shelves and restock when low or empty.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor, checkout area, and back stock area.
• Operate the cash register and accurately process payments.
• Complete store administrative tasks as directed by management.
• Follow loss prevention practices and report issues to store leadership.
