Job summary

ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing is seeking a friendly Cashier to handle transactions and assist customers at our retail location. You will operate cash registers, scanners, and related equipment, greet customers, and ensure accurate cash handling at the start and end of each shift.

You should have strong customer service and communication skills, be comfortable with basic math for making change, and be willing to complete on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers or scanners.
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change.
• Knowledgeable about company products and services.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they enter the location.
• Accepts money in the form of cash, checks, credit or debit cards, EBT cards and eWIC for items purchased.
• Assist customers with questions, find products, and bag purchases.
• Ensures accurate transactions by balancing the cash register at the beginning and end of shift.
• Offer all customers the “push item” for the week.
• Greet customers when checking out and thank them at the end of each transaction.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
