Job summary

Guardians Credit Union is seeking a teller to handle cash transactions, deposits, and withdrawals at our Boynton Beach branch. You will verify signatures, input transactions, and issue receipts while delivering friendly service.

You will also promote bank products, maintain accurate records, and adhere to all laws and credit union policies. The role involves daily cash handling, balance reconciliation, and occasional training participation.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as member records and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak professionally before members and employees.

Responsibilities

• Open and close branch operations.
• Receive checks and cash for deposits; verify amounts and endorsements.
• Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and balances.
• Enter transactions into computer and issue receipts.
• Place holds on accounts and notify members.
• Count cash and balance drawer daily; reconcile with computer data.
• Explain or sell bank products and services.
• Remove deposits from night depository and ATMs.
• Ensure accuracy of member information.
• Handle sale of money orders, cashier’s checks and travel cards.
• Notify supervisor of security breaches or teller issues.
• Assist with member inquiries and research.
• Stay informed on laws and regulations affecting teller functions.
• Attend trainings and understand credit union history.
