Job summary

Public Service Credit Union is seeking a full-time Teller for our Cadillac branch in Detroit. You will provide excellent member service by handling deposits, withdrawals, and payments, and respond to member inquiries while building positive relationships.

The role emphasizes accuracy, security, and recommending bank products to help members reach financial goals. Applicants should be 18+, with cash handling and strong interpersonal skills, and be able to work some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous customer service and cash handling experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify and recognize opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform job responsibilities independently.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Financial institution experience.

Responsibilities

• Handles transactions accurately and efficiently for members by accepting account deposits and withdrawals, verifying cash and endorsement of checks.
• Recommend products and educate members to help meet their financial goals.
• Perform routine member service requests.
• Maintain a member-centric “can-do” professional attitude.
• Make fraud prevention, security, and accuracy a top priority.
